Greek Theater

The types of Greek theater were tragedy and comedy. A tragedy was a serious drama production with themes such as love, hate, war, and/or betrayal. They almost always have a tragic hero with a tragic flaw who would probably die by the end of the play. There were also comedies, plays that had really funny scenes with both slapstick and/or crude humor. These plays would often be offensive towards politics. In middle school I participated in some of my school plays. We did this one comedic play called "Buckshot and Blossoms." It was similar to a Greek production because there was a lot of slapstick humor incorporated in the play.

This image depicts a Greek theater. At least in my school, the seating is different. It is straightforward rather that curving in this picture. It looks like it could hold a plethora of people in this theater and it is outside.
